How to play By Jingo!
Have everyone in the office download a copy of the game (runs on Macintosh computers only, sorry) and choose the same word set.
Click a word in your card when you hear someone say it in conversation. It is fine to try to lead someone into saying a word you need, but you aren't allowed to shout out words just to fill in your card!
When you get a complete line, jump up and shout 'By Jingo!'. If you manage to complete a whole card shout whatever you like, but make us proud.
PLEASE NOTE: the 'Allow Rude Words' checkbox enables word sets with swear words. Please leave unchecked if you don't want to see these.

By Jingo! downloads word sets from the By Jingo! site so that everyone always plays with the most up-to-date lists. This means the software requires Internet access to work, although a single default word set will always be available.
Expand the window to reveal the complete word set, plus options for randomising the card's selection of words and for resetting selected words. Upload is currently disabled in the public version of the game.
The game was inspired by Julian T, whose entertaining stories of his morning commuting woes were a regular source of amusement for the whole MacUser editorial, art and production teams.
The software was written (in about three hours) with SuperCard, a rather excellent and surprisngly easy software creation tool from Solutions Etc. If you use SuperCard you can download a copy of the By Jingo project here.
