It certainly has many of the elements that define current web design, with a bold mission statement, big buttons, lots of white space and some subtle textures. I also think the site itself is a great idea, with the ability to record daily journal entries just by replying to an email. Typically, people think of things like posters, business cards, websites, logos and product packaging when it comes to design. However, graphic design is far-reaching, and license plates are no exception. According to New York Magazine, New York was the first state in the union to require plates, and they were first state-issued 100 years ago. Classic editions include the 1939 World's Fair "advertisement" and the introduction of the "Empire State" nickname in 1955. What's your favorite plate?
