teaching: My past teaching experience includes setting and marking design and technology briefs at Richmond upon Thames College (further education), Kingston University (BA graphic design students), and London College of Printing, now London College of Communication (BA graphic design and information design students).

Training: This covers a particularly broad range. I've set formal classroom-based evening courses in Kingston University, given staff training at design consultancy premises (and Kingston University), and provided one-on-one tuition.

I still visit the London College of Communication regularly to teach and set briefs covering web design and custom software design and creation with the BA graphic design and information design students. For related SuperCard online support documents visit the LCC Interactive Design project support pages and the SuperCard Beginner's Guide pages.

Lectures: My past lectures include Web Typograpy (subsequently rewritten for a MacUser magazine feature) for the International Society of Typographic Designers, Design Futures for BA design students, both at the London College of Printing, and The Future of Publishing as part of a University of the Arts London lecture series. In a sense these are simply a logical extension of my magazine feature writing, just with a different form of delivery.

Teaching and training details

I am currently Senior Lecturer in Publishing at the London College of Communication, specialising in publishing design, editorial and new media developments.

Teaching experience includes setting and marking design & technology and publishing briefs at Richmond upon Thames College (further education), Kingston University (lecturers and BA Graphic Design students), and London College of Printing, now London College of Communication (BA graphic design, BA Magazine Publishing and MA Publishing courses).

Although I am now very involved in the Publishing school at the London College of Communication I still visit the Media school to teach and set briefs covering web design and custom software design and creation with the BA graphic design and information design students. For related SuperCard online support documents visit the project support pages and the SuperCard Beginner's Guide pages.

Training experience covers a particularly broad range. I've set formal classroom-based evening courses in Kingston University, given staff training at design consultancy premises, London College of Communications and Kingston University, and provided one-on-one tuition for many individuals.

Teaching

Teaching is something that I've always enjoyed, especially when dealing with creative individuals or groups.

I am currently a Senior Lecturer in the school of Print & Publishing at the London College of Communication, teaching on courses from FdA to MA level.

Over the last decade or so I've been an external tutor and visiting lecturer for a number of different design courses from further education to degree level. I've also given specialist lectures and provided private training.
